How should I know when to call an electrician?

There are many warning signs that could indicate you need a professional electrician. Triggered circuit breakers, blown fuses, and flickering lights are just a few, but any time you notice something out of the ordinary with your electrical system, it's worth calling Peter Irving Electric Inc Electrical Services.

How much electrical work should I do on my own?

We understand the DIY mentality, but the truth is that completing your own electrical work is clearly a gamble and could even be illegal. When it comes to electricity, safety is the highest priority. Save yourself the risk and call in a licensed professional to make sure you're not endangering yourself, your business, or your family.

There is no power in my house. What should I do?

There are a number of reasons why your power could be out, ranging from simple Bay Area maintenance to a more serious problem, such as a faulty fuse box. The first thing to do is call your local electrical provider to make sure the problem is not on their end. If that doesn't provide an adequate answer, call Peter Irving Electric Inc to schedule an urgent visit.

My circuit breaker keeps resetting. Should I keep turning it on?

A flipped circuit breaker or a fuse that keeps burning out means that your electrical system is either overloaded or there is a problem with the wiring. If the fuse corresponds to a specific room or set of outlets, check to see if too many devices are plugged in. For a better long term solution, call us and we'll come up with the appropriate course of action.

What is that sound coming from my electrical panel?

A sound coming from your electrical panel could be a very dangerous situation and you should call Peter Irving Electric Inc as soon as possible. We'll dispatch a professional electrician to handle the problem and get your electrical under control
